   Have you tried a dimple ring, available from the Lactation Institute in California?  You work the nipple out to it's true shape after the feeding is done, then while still holding it out, wrap the cloth/velcro ring around the base of the nipple to hold it out so it can't fold in on itself.  Wear the ring for 10 minutes or so, until the face of the nipple has air-dryed.  Then it is much less likely to glue itself together, and the ring can be removed until after the next feeding.
