Is there any reason for concern if an infant gains lot of weight in the
first 2 months? Baby was term and weighed 7# 10oz at birth. He is two
months old now and weighs 17#.

I know that breastfed babies do often gain rapidly in the first 3 months
then slow down but I haven't had a client whose term baby doubled his birth
weight by 2 months.

Baby is breastfed most of the time but there are pumping and bottles most
days of the week. Mom has had an oversupply problem that comes and goes
depending on the pumping frequency. She is worried about his being an obese
child/adult.
