Dear Lactnet sisters, last week I had a mom proudly tell me that she was using a cream which did not have animal by-products. When I asked what it was, she said Nipple Nurture Butter. She had the tube with her and showed me: it contains: shea butter, cocoa butter, avocado oil, vit E. I suggested that since the baby was not ready for foods other than breastmilk, that it might not be a good idea to introduce cocoa butter (chocolate by-product), shea butter (nut butter), etc. And offered to call the company to ask if they had tested this product on babies, and had research to back up its safety.
I did call Learning Curve Brands 563-875-5910 or 563 875-5628, and the nice lady there said they have lots of testimonials as to its effectiveness and safety.
Has anyone else seen this product? It cost the mom $10 for a 2-3 oz tube.
