My LLL co-leader breastfed her second baby unrestrictedly from birth to the
extent that she was over her birth weight by day 2. However, when her milk came
in, she was still extremely engorged and had to express a little every time she
latched Nicole on. Could this have something to do with the fact that she has
always had an over-abundance of milk - she was able to stop wearing breast pads
at 15 months with her first child. By the way, her milk supply has settled down
much quicker this time.
