That's certainly true in my case. I took Robbie into our bed at 21/2 months
after reading "Breastfeeding and Natural Child Spacing", which I wouldn't
otherwise have done, as he had started sleeping through the night. Of course, as

soon as we started the family bed story, he woke up as much as he had when he
was younger. I'm sure that reading this book influenced other behaviours of
mine, which, although I initially did them for selfish reasons, became part of
my parenting for their own sake (and my child's).
