Hartmann and Geddes research of recent years measures volumes of
breastfeedings as averaging 70ml/ feed for age 1month on. (as I recall).
This is per feeding and I don't remember any specific interval between
feedings.
The explanation for why this volume per feed does not increase over time
does not have to do with changing milk components, but rather decreasing
body surface area and changing metabolism.
