In thinking about this issue, I thought of Diane and her wonderful
way of reminding us that breastfeeding isn't superior, it's normal.

Vaginal birth is normal, it's the way babies are supposed to come
into the world. Maybe these tiny brain hemorrhages are part of
normal, maybe they are what helps get the brain going in the out of
uterus environment where it will spend the rest of its life. The
birth canal helps squeeze fluid from baby's lungs so they can breathe
air, and C-sec babies need to be manually suctioned for the same
effect. Maybe these tiny hemorrhages are not only not harmful, maybe
they are beneficial. Is there anyone asking that question? I'm not a
brain scientist or a physician, am I totally off base here?

Naomi
