NO, the level in her milk is NOT the same as in her blood!! The AAP
considers alcohol "generally compatible with breastfeeding." This particular
mother was probably WAY too drunk to be even holding a baby. As Jodine
pointed out, BF was about the only thing she was doing that was normal and
healthy.

It should also be mentioned, IMO, that a breastfeeding mother who has been
drinking should wait to breastfeed until she feels sober so the BABY
doesn't get drunk, too. The alcohol level in a woman's breastmilk
is the same as her blood alcohol level, right? This woman shouldn't have
been breastfeeding her baby at that point... for that and other reasons.
