A recent newsletter from Nature Conservancy had a description of a Hawaiian plant whose pollinators appear to have disappeared. It is now an endangered species, I believe, and there have been efforts to hand-pollinate it as a way of preventing it from going extinct. I suspect it was bird-pollinated.
