I see this written a lot.....  having spent time with many of them actually
catching queens, It disappoints me to this myth spread.  Certainly there are
those that do,  but its far from normal,  and dang rare.

We can debate all month about how long a queen should be "allowed to lay"
and its chicken chatter.  These guys do it day in and day out and sell
upwards of 100k queens a year  season after season.  

They wait until she has a good pattern..... 14-21 days on the east side.....
some variation on the west also... 



There are those that sell 5 frame med nucs also...for top dollar...  not
fair to paint with that brush.

I  find it dubious at best for those of us who raise a couple of queens a
year to second guess and throw stones at people who make a living at it...
