North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services has an
excellent Apiary Inspection Service with six full-time, highly
experienced, professional inspectors. Please call your inspector for
on-site consultation and advice. In the Piedmont, your inspector is
either Will Hicks, Don Hopkins or Nancy Ruppert -- see map:
http://www.ncagr.gov/plantindustry/Plant/apiary/apiarymp.html. They've
already been paid with your tax dollars so it makes sense to use them.
