> If so is it genetic or do the conditions that allow queens to live a long > time also allow workers to live a long time? We know that it is true of A.m.m. The queens generally go into their third or fourth year (sometimes fifth) and the workers live longer thus giving large crops from small populations (the extra lifespan is all extra foraging time). I was curious to know whether some of this is seen in other races and whether it is just the queens, or workers or both.
