>Fully open mesh floor on 2.5" square supports (always open as there is no insert), single brood box, queen excluder, 2.5" deep eke (or spacer if you like), crown board. Thymol put in the lid on the excluder directly above the brood. Thanks Peter. How deep are the frames of your brood chamber? Still not clear as far as spacing for the lids containing thymol. In the U.S. frames typically hang nearly flush with the bottoms of our boxes, so there would be no space above an excluder unless it had a rim. So how much space is there between the top bars of the brood chamber and the bottom bars of the honey super (this would include any space due to the queen excluder if I read you right). And do bees have issues in trying to bridge that space? -- Randy Oliver Grass Valley, CA www.ScientificBeekeeping.com *********************************************** The BEE-L mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
