I know some beekeepers who prefer to keep the cells on the bars in the frames in a nuc, for transporting. I think this is overkill but it's easy to set up. A refinement on this is to have a piece of foam rubber with holes in it to hold the cells in the natural position. If they are mature, cutting them off the bars and laying them on their sides won't hurt them. A basket or box with a tea cozy works fine.
