I just introduced ten mated queens I purchased from a supplier who made them to my specs. So far, I lost two before release, and I think I did everything right. Personally, I doubt I hit 80% when using mated queens if losses before, duiring and after introduction are figured in. I'd like to hear what others success rate is and why. I suspect many people simply do not know, because when they are introducing, the bees may already have a queen or be raising a queen which deposes the purchased queen in short order. Unless people are paying careful attention, a queen is a queen. *********************************************** The BEE-L mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
