Having just listened to a presentation this evening on how to limit the
spread of AFB throughout Honey Bee colonies.

It was stated that delivering Oxytet. via. either "Sugar syrup" or in a
"Grease patty" was not recommended compared to that where the active
ingredient was mixed with Icing sugar and placed on frame tops to the
side of the brood area.

This being the case since the level of effectiveness of the antibiotic
dose is lower for the former two methods compared to the latter.

The question arose: In which published scientific research did
evidence/data prove this to be the case?

Anybody have a reference?
