>> I treat with OA in November / December only. Should I assume this is with a vaporizer? I did think I would have to come up with a vaporizer set-up to ensure good coverage but trickling is so easy and, I believe, as effective as vaporizing as long as there is no sealed brood. The Swiss institute's trials from a few years ago showed very high varroa kills [in the high 90%'s I recall when done properly]. As long as the colonies do well, I don't have to kill every single varroa. I trickle the OA/sugar water solution from a graduated 30cc syringe. It takes way less than 5 minutes a hive. [I do use a beam scale for the OA amount and a large graduated syringe to measure off the sugar water amount to get the proper solution mix. It's key to get the right solution concentration.] Waldemar ____________________________________________________________ Nutrition Schools Search Become a Certified Nutritionist.
