A bit unclear.  If you mean abscond implies a swarm-type event
then I agree ccd depopulation is not a "classical" abscond
It does indeed take ~ 1 week or more to unfold
But the end result is the same -- an empty hive (or essentially empty)

Before 07 I have never seen this or anything like it
