Thank you for replying, for then the late 1980s info would
still stand, and go hand in hand with Mackenson,Ruttner,
and Tunisa/Punic bees, and other races looked at (mellifera
& Italian).

This is a trait found in all races FWIW if looked for, and
again I have always considered it a necessary good trait.
Also to go back to a natural system of beekeeping without
treatments, you must accept what it naturally there, and
it's really not that hard to work with.
