John, Thank you for replying, for then the late 1980s info would still stand, and go hand in hand with Mackenson,Ruttner, and Tunisa/Punic bees, and other races looked at (mellifera & Italian). http://www.beesource.com/pov/lusby/bsmay1991.htm This is a trait found in all races FWIW if looked for, and again I have always considered it a necessary good trait.
