Varroa routinely inbreed so in addition to having a short "cycle time" 
so to speak, they're particularly good at propagating "favorable" 
traits. Foundress mites typically enter singly into cells to breed. Only 
when 2 or more foundress mites enter a cell do their daughters have a 
chance of mating with males other than their own brothers.
