We used Oxalic last winter by dripping the sugar solution onto the bees in mid-winter. The usual dosage is 50cc. for a full brood chamber. My business partner accidentally spilled about 600cc into a single brood chamber. There was no apparent negative effect upon the hive and it was one of the strongest in the spring! Just an interesting observation. Maybe here, where the weather allows the bees to move around more, the ''overdose'' didn't have any detrimental effect that could be seen. It's probably different in colder climates where the bees can't move out of the hive for weeks or months.
