Hello Peter and Everyone,

Decades ago the Federal government seed millions of acres of public lands
with sweet clover. I'm in Wyoming and very little sweet clover is now
planted. It was used to seed reclaimation projects and provide some
initial cover long enough for the various grasses to get established.
Today it's considered invasive and is mowed and sprayed. It some places
it's the only green thing growing along the roadside but will be promply
sprayed by the Road Department, that is unless the rancher doesn't bail
it up first:>)
