That's an excellent question, and one we haven't really looked at before. I
don't see a problem with it, and I agree it's something we need to issue.
We have looked at CEU's for some of our seminars, although this one won't
qualify for them. But overall, I don't see any reason we couldn't do so.

Thanks David - incidentally, will a certificate of attendance made up by the
safety council be given out to all those who attend. In the past, none have
been issued for our seminar's. Having proof of attendance for this kind of
seminar/training may be helpful for those of us who need to show what
updates, training, seminars, etc. we have received during the year to
enhance our knowledge.

Yesterday the Council announced an upcoming Seminar on December 11. There
was a question that came back to me that I'm sure more than a few of you
share.
"Will it discuss the different safety programs required, such as Lock-out
Tag-out, MSDS, etc., or will it discuss more of the paperwork side and
record keeping?"
I suppose the answer is, "Yes!" The seminar will address the programs that
are required for business, and we will cover each of the programs in such a
way that the attendee can determine if they need them or not. We also will
cover those programs that everyone needs, such as documentation and Hazard
Communication. It will be a lot to absorb in one day, but we hope to cover
all of the "necessities" that smaller companies need to meet to make
compliance.
If you have further questions, please feel free to hit "reply all" and ask
away. This is the very reason we came up with this discussion list.
