Hmmm. Now the subject of genes has been brought up, one reads that there  
isn't as much genetic variation in US bees as elsewhere through constant buying  
in queens from breeders. In studying CCD has the genetic history of the 
affected  colonies been considered and compared with that of nearby unaffected  
hives?
