>I am of the opinion that finding and marking queens is an utter waste of
time.

The primary reason I like marked queens is to have an idea which queen I am
looking at. I do like to raise my own queens but when I find a colony that
is having problems it helps to know if I am looking at last years queen or a
virgin fresh out of her cell.
