FR Beuhne worked for the Victorian Government I think as apiary officer.  He 
wrote a book called the Honey Flora of Victoria in 1922.  I think he was 
around in the 1920's and 30's.  So I doubt that there are any of his stock 
still around.  Beekeepers in Victoria tell me they have no problem with 
paralysis virus nowadays.  There are tales from the distant past but none in 
recent times.
