I would like to take the above statement by the noted biologist Ahlert Schmidt a step further.

 If the above statement by Ahlert  is true then would not selecting for thelytoky (as Dee does) bring out the capensis genes if  the bees were Africanized and were carrying both scutellata and capensis genes?
