I recently attempted to buy 2 queens and called around to quite a few smaller and larger outfits. I was very surprised to hear that a number of them were completely sold out for the rest of the season!

I'm just curious to know what is going on. Are large commercial beekeepers rapidly expanding their hive numbers ahead of the next almond pollination season?
