I typically keep one old box in each yard and I use this to set boxes when I am disassembling a hive. This box is also good to knock out loose bees from an empty box < typically I set it right in front of the entry, tap tap it crossways on the old box and this removes any clinging bees..

As in most things related to construction... jigs of various kinds are useful when you are making up multiple copies of anything.
