I doubt that George coined the term.  It's been around for most of my career, which takes us back to the 70s.  I didn't meet or know about George until the 1990s.  He was a big fish in the east coast pond, not so much out west.  Yet, we had the term.
George did have a way of embedding his own opinions into issues, and he wasn't subtle about it.
