There are certainly some, but I've never met any. As a percentage of
people who make their living through agriculture, they would be a very
small minority. The work involved is huge, and most farmers just haven't
the time, interest or wherewith-all to do it.

There is no difference. I had a thousand laying hens for a couple years,
as well as milk goats and I can't even imagine the work that would go into
breeding your own stock. Even big cattlemen use imported semen, etc..

Today's agriculture is specialized, and it is specialized not because of
government conspiricies or anything like that, it's simply more efficient.
