Hi all

I am guilty of promoting the use of petroleum jelly (vaseline) as is Tom
Barrett.

http://website.lineone.net/~dave.cushman/petjel.html

The problem that Dan Hendricks has encountered is usually caused by a too
liberal application or not enough white spirit/turpintine to thin the
petroleum jelly so that it penetrates the woodwork.

I have used this method for over 20 years with no problems.

It has made my beekeeping life easier during this time.
