--Does anybody on the list have a reference to the observed size range of 
Paenibacillus larvae var larvae spores?

Hi Peter

P. Larvae are 2.5 to 5 microns long by 0.5 microns wide.

The spore is oval and approximately twice as long as wide, about 0.6 by 
1.3 microns.
