If you have Netflix, streaming, you can watch the movie "Colony" and see
many of those who post here as well as familiar beekeeping personalities.

What I found interesting is the fairly balanced approach in spite of the
overwhelming concentration on Bayer and pesticides by several of the
beekeepers. It was obvious that the beekeepers had already made their minds
up based on anecdotal evidence, mostly from Hackenburg, and were in a "prove
I am wrong" mode. But as the film progressed, doubt did start to show. Bayer
came off fairly well.

I also liked how they followed a new commercial beekeeping family and the
problems they encountered.Certainly put commercial beekeping into
perspective. I really ached for them and what they were going through.

Were I the director of the movie, I would have asked Randy to have a straw
dangling from his mouth when he spoke to complete the Will Rogers
impersonation :) He did do a great job of presenting the facts.

In all a very good move which is slightly dated but still compelling.
