I can't believe how long it took me to figure this out. Back in San Diego, where the propolis is from eucalyptus sap, my hands were always stained. Working as a NYS bee inspector, I wanted to have clean hands when I inspected somebody's hive. Not because of the disease really, since it wasn't that common, but because it made a better appearance. I use isopropyl, it seems cheap enough.
