One point of interest that I heard when I was recently in Hawaii is that
there was some years ago a major AFB outbreak on the Island.  Hit the feral
population hard.  But now the ferals are fully recovered, and when I asked
about AFB in ferals, no one seemed to think that it was a problem with them
any more.

It would be of great interest to see just how AFB hygienic the Hawaiian
ferals are.
