A few notes of Louis Armstrong and you recognize him right away. Emerson had
a very recognizable cadence to his writings. A Picasso painting also easily
stands out in a crowd. While I never met Richard Taylor in person the lilt to
his written words have the same effect...you can quickly recognize the man
hearing the message. I dare to call it a universal message of "slow down and listen
to the world all around." He helped us see beyond the ordinary. I will miss
his beat. He was an individual that tapped into our consciousness. I grew
wistful reading anything he wrote.
