To conitinue the thread on using only Illinois (medium) boxes for brood
boxes: Has anyone using this arrangement had problems with increased
swarming, when compared to using deeps for brood boxes? We use Illinois
for brood boxes in our research hives and had a lot of trouble with
swarming this past spring/summer even though the queens apparently had
adequate room for laying.
