Mike Rowbottom asks, "Why not use the traditional tool- a goose wing?".

Simple.  Geese aren't plentiful in my bee yards whereas grass is everywhere,
immediately available, easy to pick, simple to construct into my make shift
brush and can be discarded when I'm done.

In upstate NY, they'd be lost by New Years, perhaps sooner.
