Juanse, whilst not a resident of Tasmania, I can confirm that the article to which you referred is a reliable source.
Also, South-eastern Australia has had an unusually cold summer and our current autumn (fall?) is more like an our early months of winter.
Honey production throughout the area will be well down on the average. It makes thorough sense that leatherwood production would also be abysmal for the season just concluded.
The land of droughts and flooding rains has dealt a blow to all agriculture this year, it would seem.
