Absolutely none - ever.  They are absolutely clean even after several years. 
I also do not get drone comb built on the bottom of the frames due to the 
small entrance (that used to be a problem with British National hives and 
their bottom bee space).

Normally remove all honey, so bees winter on the honey in the brood box plus 
an average of 2/3 of a block of fondant - about 8kg.  Empty supers go back 
on the hives and stay there for the winter as I do not have storage 
facilities for them.
