My daughter used beeswax on her braces to protect the inside of her mouth.
 
Also there is a special kind of egg decorating method, the names escapes
me at the moment, where you pour the beeswax in a tiny funnel that is
used to make lines on the egg, then it is dipped in dye. This method
is repeated with differnet lines and dyes etc.
The dye is hot enough that the wax stays subtle and is wiped off between
dippings and lines.
