Not sure that I can agree with this.
Surely the genetic characteristics will not change with age and the physical
quality of the queen is down to the conditions under which she is raised,
i.e. adequate nurse bees, good pollen supply etc.  I cannot see that the age
of the queen is very relevant - or am I missing something?
