I had to chuckle when I read the list. Too generic to be real. Even the hive 
numbers (72,000) were much lower than the number told me by Bob Adee of Adee 
honey farms that spring.

Richard Adee has been "King of the Hill" for many years and what the article 
in BEE Culture called Richard.

Richard grew from 500 hives in college to almost 90,000 when I last asked 
Bob Adee about the bee farms numbers.

I would guess $150 a hives might be a low yearly figure Jeffery but when you 
consider the pollination fees made and the fact Adee Honey farms has the 
best honey producing yards in the U.S. with most pallets of four hives 
producing a barrel of honey money well spent..

No other bee operation in the world (except for the Bell operation before 
retirement) has ever came close to the size of the Adee operation and in my 
opinion we will never see another. When Richard dies I expect the brothers 
to split into two operations as word is Richard (still living) is the only 
reason the brothers have not split as being typical brothers they do not 
always agree on the way things need done.

I am looking to connect with a beekeeper which worked with Adee Honey Farms 
out of western Kansas back around 10 years ago. He worked on a crew with Jim 
Hall for three years. Jim could not recall his name as he had a nick name . 
Jim said the beekeeper had left Adee right before he did.
If members of the list know his name  or location today please email me off 
list. The beekeeper was known for always working bees bare chested in summer 
with only a string veil no matter how nasty the bees were. Jim said he was 
the only member of a crew that did. Thanks in advance!

Adee Honey farms is not known for sharing their secrets (personal 
experience).
