Subject: [BEE-L] Mite count

" very low count of mites like 1-2 n my last test in September.. I just tested the hive and found 20 mites in a 24 hour period"

...Depends upon how you monitor.

Natural mite drop is not a good indication unless you do it every 2 days or so. I'm experimenting with that myself. We will see if my bees survive my rough estimatations.

Most accurate count according to the folks that know more than I is an alcohol wash.
