Because by treating, you remove the need for any inherent resistance to survive the assault.

Where I'm scratching my head in the middle of the summer dearth because I just did 10 alcohol washes and found 1 mite. Last year I was averaging about 7 per hive.

I'm also thankful I don't have to do 1,990 more!
