I've wanted to ask this question, but didn't want to
appear foolish. Well, guess you all can have a good
laugh. :?>)

Do queen bee pheromones affect humans?

I ask this because when I am working my two (new) hives,
I seem to be much calmer that I would expect myself to be,
given that I am disassembling the home to thousands of
stinging insects while dressed usually in shorts and a
t-shirt.

And why did I finally decide to ask this question? Well
today the Chicago Tribune published a story about a
University of Chicago researcher who has proved that
humans can detect and are affected by (human) pheromones.
