In the spring I started two new hives from locally purchased nucs. They
started out strong but first one swarmed (it had plenty of room in the hive)
and then the second one swarmed and both have continued to throw small after
swarms almost all season long! Two other hives one of my own from the prior
year and another I started with a package are both behaving normally. Even
if the queen may have been defective as discussed in earlier messages re;
NWC queens and they were superceded; why would the hives just keep throwing
swarms all summer long?
Could the weather be a factor? I am east of Albany, New York and it has
been the wettest summer in many years.
Any thoughts?
