I live about 25 miles west of Boston.

My 2 hives both died over this winter, as did the hives of a friend.

We are buying NUCs, and have the option of buying either:

Minnesota Hygienic

New World Carniolan

or

Russian

Are there recommendations? Is there a summary of the
advantages/disadvantages of these sub-species?

For example, I've heard that the Russians overwinter well but are a bit more
agressive.

Your advice and recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.
