In fact, a friend from SoCal tells me his bees were tanking despite heavy
>use of fumigillin while a neighbor had the best bees in years while doing
>nothing special.

*If* nosema ceranae is only a symptom then why is your friend worried about
nosema and spending a $140 U.S. a bottle for fumigillin?

SoCal update by Peter:

Best bees and worst bees on the same block. Hmmm.

However if you go back to the first CCD case with Hackenburg we were told
that only a short distance from Hackenburgs hives were yards of great bees.
Of course the CCD team spent most of their time checking Dave's bees. hmmm.

I was told the team asked the beekeeper what his secret was and he said
*nothing special*.
